Between October 21st-27th The Paddle Peak Group are cleaning the River Derwent from Rowsley to Milford and beyond!!
Cleaning rubbish from the river, saves plastic washing out to sea, therefore preserving our wonderful valley and protecting wildlife from here to the Humber and beyond!
Here’s a rough timetable for our great plan detailing where we’ll be on each day:
Mon 21st Rowsley to Matlock.
Tues 22nd Matlock to Cromford.
Wed 23rd Cromford to Whatstandwell.
Thurs 24th Whatstandwell to Belper.
Fri 25th Belper to Milford.
Sat 26th / Sun 27th Darley Abbey / Derby area.
On Tuesday the 22nd we’ll be joined by mums and kids from Matlock Bath School and Pre School. Also, all the staff from Peak UK Kayaking Co will be closing shop and cleaning the river. We’re promoting this globally within the kayak industry and expect similar clean ups to take place simultaneously around the world.
